Description
The Planar Multiple Thermal Converter is an AC-DC transfer standard and can be used as a secondary standard. The centerpiece is a micro-structured silicon chip, manufactured using modern thin-film technology and a thermal chain consisting of the thermoelectric materials bismuth and antimony. This chip is mounted on a specially developed aluminum oxide carrier and is optimized to measure the RMS value of any AC signal waveform in real time over a wide frequency range while minimizing the reverse losses of the AC-DC conversion. Further versions are available as an option:
- Housed in a metal casing and ready for immediate use according to the “plug & play” principle
- Available with calibration certificate from the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt Braunschweig (PTB)
